Ranchito del Rey y María Madre
Saltillo, Mexico
The Ranchito del Rey y Maria Madre is the priory where the Fraternity was born in 2012. It is located in the heart of Saltillo, a city of about one million inhabitants in northern Mexico. The Ranchito endeavors to be a place of worship, contemplation, and Catholic formation, welcoming all those who seek God and desire to receive His mercy. In this way, it is a place of spiritual renewal.
While especially attentive to the brothers in formation, the Saltillo priory hosts numerous apostolates. Among these are courses on the Word of God and the Magisterium, education in prayer, retreats and youth groups, as well as festivals of sacred music and art.
Driven by their missionary desire to bring the hope of Christ to all those in need, the brothers have opened three mission centers in the poorest neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city: Omega, La Gloria, and El Mirador. They invite young people and families to come to and spend time in mission at one of these centers, and to place their gifts and talents at the service of the most disadvantaged by leading times of prayer, visiting families, providing academic support, accompanying young people, and organizing camps.
